Since pure awareness of nowness is the real buddha,
In openness and contentment I found the Lama in my heart.
When we realize this unending natural mind is the very nature of the Lama,
Then there is no need for attached, grasping, or weeping prayers or artificial complaints,
By simply relaxing in this uncontrived, open, and natural state,
We obtain the blessing of aimless self-liberation of whatever arises.

His Holiness the Twelfth Gyalwang Drukpa, head of the 800 year old Drukpa Kagyu lineage and one of Lama Surya Das's most beloved teachers, has published a wonderful teaching on stress. As usual, His Holiness writes in his fluent, lively English and is thoroughly up to date on the rigors of life today!

A group of us who practise Dharma together in Southern California felt that it would be helpful to have a community website -- where we can connect on a regular basis. So Atimandala was conceived, and all are welcome to participate.
We ask only that you let your thoughts -- as the Buddha said -- be born out of love for all beings. As our teachers continually exemplify, this website also aims to follow in the non-sectarian footsteps of the great masters, holding all authentic traditions to be of value.
Feel free to create a user account by clicking on the link at the left of the page. You will need to ensure that your e.mail anti-spam system does not reject incoming messages from info@atimandala.org, so please add that to your "whitelist" of approved senders before you create a user account here.
Please come back often to participate. To start a new thread, simply click on "Submit" at the head of the page. Alternatively to add to discussion about an existing article, click "Post a Comment" at the foot of any story. We want to hear from you. This is your online sangha!
